Intellectual Property Rights Notice
The Hong Kong official statistics (which may be obtained at the website and mobile application of Centamap Company Limited) (“Materials”) are subject to the Intellectual Property Rights owned by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (“HKSARG”). The Materials are reproduced with the permission of the Census and Statistics Department of the HKSARG (“Census and Statistics Department”) which provides the source of the Materials. Except where prior written consent is obtained from the Census and Statistics Department, any reproduction, adaptation, distribution, dissemination or making available of the Materials to the public in any form is strictly prohibited. For enquiries or requests for HKSARG’s prior consent in this regard, please contact the Census and Statistics Department by email (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The building groups are developed jointly by (a) the Census and Statistics Department and (b) Centamap Company Limited; while the housing market areas are developed by Centamap Company Limited. For the avoidance of doubt, the Intellectual Property Rights in (a) the compilations of statistics which are compiled on the basis of the results of the 2001 Population Census, the 2006 Population By-census, the 2011 Population Census and the 2016 Population By-census and which are shown at the website (hk.centamap.com) and mobile application of Centamap Company Limited and (b) the boundary map for ‘Large Street Block Groups’ which is shown at the website (hk.centamap.com) and mobile application of Centamap Company Limited are owned by and vested in HKSARG.On the other hand, the Intellectual Property Rights in the boundaries of Housing Market Areas which are shown at the website (hk.centamap.com) and mobile application of Centamap Company Limited are owned by and vested in Centamap Company Limited.
‘Intellectual Property Rights’ means patents, copyright, design rights, trade marks, service marks, trade names, domain names, database rights, rights in know-how, new inventions, designs or processes and other intellectual property rights whether now known or created in future (of whatever nature and wherever arising) and in each case whether registered or unregistered and including applications for the grant of any such rights.
